This product worked great. I had to read the PIN from the dip switches located on the back of my Stanley 3220-50 Garage Door Opener, to get the relevant code to program into the opener. The instructions made perfect sense. The easiest way to do it is to take a picture of the dip switches on the back of the opener with your phone, then program the remote without being up a ladder.

I always have issues trying to figure out which way is on and off for the dip switches - stub closer to the circuit board is 'on' - if you have the dip switch numbers readable, then the stub is down for 'on'. As the instructions say: 'use 0 for 10'. I found it easier to mount the unit after programming the controller. I also called Stanley and confirmed that the DC5202 matched this model opener. Really no gotchas here, as long as you can clearly read the dip switch numbers on your phone. As the instructions say, you have to have at least one dip switch in the 'on' position. Also it did not mess with my existing car garage openers.

Definitely recommend to others. Build quality is sound, buttons are back-lit. There is not enter key, you just type your 4 digit number to open and to close, no other keys, once programmed. The keypad remains 'live' for 15-20 seconds (somewhere thereabouts, I didn't time it), allowing you to hit any key to stop the open midway, close, or stop close, with any key.

Once the lights go out you are back to normal operation needing to use the 4-digit code. Hope this helps others. This product worked great. The first Passat was developed partly from the Audi 80/Fox and, until 2005, the two shared a history. Used 2018 vw passat. Its derivatives have been badged variously as the Dasher, Quantum, Magotan, Carat, Corsar and Santana, through six generations.

Hope this helps others. Just got it and installed it for use with my 1997 era TT200. If you follow the instructions carefully, then set-up is a breeze. But the design is not very sturdy. The top part of the backing plate (which attaches to the top screw) isn't secured to the body of the unit at all If you pull on the protective cover gently, it will separate.

So after installing it, I applied a bead of plastic epoxy around the back and sides of the unit to keep the whole unit together. Also the battery cover screw is also poorly designed. It's really easy to strip the battery cover screw. Anyway, it works.

I just hope it holds up now. Very difficult to get a remote garage door opener for this model type. This works just fine. Easy to set up. However it is not very intuitive. As soon as you punch in the pass key the garage door opens. The key pad a keys which make no sense.

And once the key is pressed the remote is unlocked for 30-60secs i.e u can open and close the gate any number of times. No instructions on the Flap on how to use the Door Opener.

Bottom line is works. But very amateurish execution (most likely made and designed in China).

Stanley hasn't made garage door openers since the 90's and the manual is lost and not available online. Does anyone know how to reset the outside keypad on the old school Stanley garage door openers? The inside motor unit and the remote both have code wheels which are simple to reset, but the outside keypad which is hard wired to the mains electricity does not. Nor does it have a 'learn' button and LED like modern ones. It has only the ten digits and A, B, & C buttons at the bottom. Any help on this would be appreciated.

My garage door also has the hard wired Stanley keypad with 1-9 and then A, B, and C buttons. Previous owner gave me the code which works but I would like to change the existing code. Did you manage to change yours?
